Woodstock on Wheels
This is not a typical bus tour. Woodstock on Wheels is a service, which connects riders on a cross-country tour of reunion concerts, and special stops including The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Woodstock Museum, and the Memphis Rock & Soul Museum.
Woodstock on Wheels is aimed at the retiring baby-boom generation. In particular, it is aimed at those with an obsession for classic rock. The ones who drive to work every morning with Led Zeppelin booming from the speakers rather than NPR. The ones who drive 300 miles to see the nearest Bad Company reunion concert. The ones who saw Chicago play in smoky bars before they made it big. These classic-rock-obsessed-retiring-baby-boomers are experts when it comes to the music of yesteryear; experts whose peers and friends look to on everything about classic rock, and as experts, they make the perfect vehicle to spread the word about Woodstock on Wheels.
Strategies of reaching this target are broken down into two categories. Traditional strategies include advertisements on classic rock radio/internet radio stations, and a website. Non-tradional strategies include tour buses modified to look like a 60s era VW Bus, Compilation CDs and LPs, and Telephone-booth-shaped Sound Booths placed around busy downtown areas, among others.
